Suniti Namjoshi (b. 1941) was born in Bombay. She is a Canadian citizen and a resident of England.
She has worked as an officer in the Indian Administrative Service and lectured in the Department of English at the University of Toronto.
Suniti Namjoshi has published numerous poems, fables, articles and reviews in anthologies, collections and journals in India, Canada, U.S., Australia and Britain. Her work is steeped in the tradition of story-telling and fables, drawing from several cultures.
She is a strong advocate of writers using the Internet as a broadcasting medium. Her latest work Building Babel contained an electronic chapter which readers could add to, opening Babel to everyone.
