A Mirror Greens in Spring
A Mirror Greens in Spring depicts the difference between two very diverse refugee cultures in Delhi, created upon the partition of India when the largest migration in history took place. In fact, issues of identity and displacement are woven as a distinct motif throughout the length of the book.
The book is full of clever surprises, an affectionate evocation of Delhi in the 1980s, as seen through the eyes of two Bengali sisters (which) develops into a fast-moving, well-plotted and often humourous thriller, complete with Punjabi weddings, black money, smugglers and blackmail.
