Samit Basu

Samit Basu (b. 1979) grew up in Calcutta where he studied Economics at Presidency College. Later, he studied broadcasting and documentary filmmaking at the University of Westminster, London.

Samit Basu is a fantasy fiction writer, probably the first in India to write in this genre and almost certainly the youngest successful one. The two novels he has written so far are part of a trilogy.

He has also written short stories for children. He currently lives and works in New Delhi.
