Radhika Jha

Radhika Jha was born in Calcutta and grew up in Delhi. She was educated at the Lawrence School, Sanawar, and has a B.A. from Amherst College and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.

Her debut novel Smell is about an unusual heroine with a phenomenal sense of smell. The setting is deliberately placed outside India, so as to remove any chance of an autobiographical content.

Radhika Jha, who is an Odissi dancer by training, is also fluent in Hindi, English, French, and Maithili. She lives in Delhi.
