Pankaj Mishra

Pankaj Mishra (b. 1969) grew up in Uttar Pradesh and graduated with degrees in commerce and English literature from Allahabad and Jawaharlal Nehru universities. He now divides his time among New Delhi, Shimla and London.Photograph of Pankaj Mishra

He is also a lecturer and literary critic, contributing book reviews and political essays to The New York Times and the Times Literary Supplement, among others.
