Namita Gokhale
Namita Gokhale (b. 1956), was born in Lucknow, spent her childhood in the Himalayan foothills of Nainital, and now lives in New Delhi.
Namita Gokhale has believed in forging her own path, whether by marrying when she was barely eighteen, or by the sexual candour of her first novel Paro which took Indian literary circles by storm and pioneered the genre which made Shobha De famous.
She continues to work as a journalist with focus on women’s issues and current literary criticism.
