Boman Desai
Boman Desai (b. 1950) was born in Bombay and moved to Chicago after his graduation.
He worked as a farmhand, bartender, dishwasher, cook, secretary, musician, bookstore clerk, telephone operator, auditor and teacher beforing settling down to the vocation of writing.
Boman Desai has published four novels so far, with varying settings and themes, ranging from Bombay, an America in Depression and Hippie-dom, and the musical genius of 19th century Germany. Occasionally, the protagonist is a young Parsi straddling the cultures of India and America, and one suspects a hint of an autobiographical thread running in the stories.
